Buzz
This guy looks a lot like Buzz, a cute border collie that used to come to the office I worked at. He was skilled at loudly announcing visitors and used his protective instincts to keep delivery-men in line. All bark and no bite (except for that one time…).
Happy
It was inevitable that I would eventually work my way around to painting a pig. I think I will have to do another one that focuses more closely on the face. There is so much expression that I would like to capture, and I’m not sure that I’ve got it here. Stay tuned.
The Blue Door
It was nice to paint with a limited palette. I didn’t have to make so many decisions about what colours to use, just the tones and values. I like the simplicity and it was fun to focus on the textures surrounding the cat.
Prints of this (and many others) are available on Etsy.

I would have preferred this bird to pop out a bit more but I guess I was working against his natural camouflage. I even removed the snow from the branches, as it was too similar to his head. I’m still not quite happy with it, but time to move on to the next one.
The Flock
I actually had to look up whether a group of sheep is called a herd or a flock. Flock it is!
